About Us
We are a 501(c)(3) student-led non-profit with a simple goal: to ease the pain of hospitalized patients with something handmade and heartfelt.
What started as a small effort quickly grew into a compassionate, community-led initiative. With the help of student volunteers from all backgrounds, including those in special education, we’ve made and donated over 600 pillows to hospitals like Suburban/Johns Hopkins.
Inclusive Volunteer Community
At Hearts of Comfort, students of all abilities — including those in special education — come together to create heart-shaped pillows, finding purpose and connection while bringing comfort to those in pain.
Personalized Comfort Solutions
We provide pillows that not only lift spirits and ease anxiety, but also serve as a physical brace for the patients to use while moving, coughing, or even just breathing.
Collaborative Healthcare Approach
We regularly communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure our efforts align with patient needs: receiving feedback and constantly making improvements.
